Marigold

Marigold, our dear little freckled face girl, has a quiet, gentle presence. Her amber eyes always seem to convey concern, as though asking to be assured that all is well. Marigold is, by nature, an observer and enjoys watching the abundant wildlife around her pasture – deer, crows, turkeys, butterflies, kittycats… as well as the activities of human servants as they go about their chores – adding compost to the windrows, mowing the lawn, etc.

We think Marigold possesses a singular beauty. With an elegant, long nose, her face is a symmetry of color and design – white-ish at base with moorit (the Shetland name for reddish brown) ears, nose tip, and freckles. Her chest is also moorit, but the rest of her coat is a soft, golden beige. Marigold is statuesque – for a Shetland – with long showgirl legs.
