Tulip is a beautiful girl with a paradoxical personality. She is exceptionally sweet and loving but also fierce and, at times, decidedly ungentle. For example she will approach and snuggle up for attention, raising her nose to touch yours in her version of a kiss. It’s very adorable and endearing! But if you happen to be petting someone else, she will butt you hard in the backside to get attention. (Others might butt for attention but not with so much gusto!) It’s not that she’s mean spirited, it’s just that everything she does is done with great vigor. We think she probably doesn’t know her own strength. Or is it that she only has one speed, and that’s fast and hard? We love her for her rough/sweet demeanor, and her fluff mates rightly respect her.
Tulip is our darkest Shetland. She has a lovely jet black head with a hint of sheen on her elegant nose. The front part of her body is a dark charcoal gray, which fades progressively to a lighter shade toward her rump.
